As a reliable partner in the regional and international innovation ecosystem, we create space for ideas and accompany them on their way to application – from life sciences and biotechnology to social innovations. We have been part of the Startup Factory FUTURY since 2025.

With GUTENBERG innovate, JGU is implementing a strategic roadmap to systematically strengthen its profile as an innovative university on the basis of its transfer strategy. The roadmap integrates innovation into teaching and research, creates visibility through a convincing brand, systematically leverages innovation potential and anchors innovation as a cross-cutting topic. The long-term goal of GUTENBERG innovate is a sustainable transformation of JGU: as a think tank and central platform for innovation in the innovation ecosystem of the city, state and region.
The GUTENBERG innovate team acts as a central contact point for innovation at JGU. We support the implementation of research results and ideas in practice and coordinate awareness-raising and qualification programs. We advise and accompany prospective founders, take care of the patenting of relevant inventions and their exploitation and support scientists in cooperation projects with companies.
